Intro

The course "Computer Graphics, Raster Graphics" is aimed at students who are just beginning their adventure with raster graphics and want to learn how to create graphic designs. In the course of the Raster Graphic Design Lesson, they will learn how to edit and improve photos, master basic retouching techniques, and learn to work with layers, masks, and filters. The course will present the basic issues needed to start learning computer graphic design. During the course the student will learn the Photopea program.

Plan of the course

The lesson aims to introduce the students to what is the design and work of a photo editor. We will remind them what the difference between raster and vector graphics is. Moreover, they will get acquainted with the Photopea program interface. During the lesson you will learn the tools and functions of the program. The student will learn what layers, grids and guides are by doing simple exercises demonstrating how they work.
The aim of the lesson is to learn key techniques: export, scaling, history panel and retraction of changes and editing of tones and colors.
The aim of the lesson is to learn how to work on layers - mixing and moving, grouping and organizing, blocking, covering.
The aim of the lesson is to learn how to work with filters - blurring and pixeling, adding and removing noise sharpening images, casting shadows and light filters. Finally, decorative filters.
The aim of the lesson is to familiarize yourself with retouching tools and use them in practice on the example of your own photos. Students will learn how to remove imperfections, smoothen the skin, highlight the eyes or change the color of the iris.
